Life in a Nutshell:
Man is plagued by high-octane stress and high-strung tension. Social networking is an international obsession. Mobile-phones, laptops and other mind-boggling gadgets are compulsions. Late night parties and evening shopping with friends, lovers and spouses are fixations. Junk food and cozy restaurants are indeed our strong temptations. 20-20 Cricket is a revolution. Buying the newest car in the town is a sensation. English is as intrinsic as blood for the old, current and new-sprung generation and probably the Gods are in Heavens busily scratching their heads to find an option and make Sanskrit therein, a 3rd Language fearing Saffronization!
Lifeu Ishtene!!!
Now, amidst how good it is for us to belittle the worthiness of our parents, forget them between our busy schedules, who brought up and nicely groomed us in the midst of all frustrations? I am here dragging parents, who are the embodiment of compassion, to the limelight, only to remind ourselves that, it is they who have made us witness all the unimaginable transformations. It doesn’t stop there either, as we also have perceived the splendid dusk of 20th century and awe-some dawn of 21st century. It is rare an opportunity to be a spectator of the dawn or dusk of a century. How many would you think would get this chance? At the most, the existing confused and baffled children of the 21st century can voice their opinion on 3-G’s (So called Next-Generation) or inevitably envy us for missing such a good avenue. Above all, we experienced these absolutely appealing changes in our fleeting youths, which actually makes it worth remembering and cherishing it. Don’t you feel so? Undoubtedly this change when negatively viewed would have made life monotonous, stressful Etc.
But for how many years do we think we would have subsisted on Bajaj Chetak,Luna Super, DD Channel, post cards, booking trunk calls, etc, in short “Snail-slow world”? Ain’t we proud to be a part of this mutation or even call it a transition which we have been enjoying exhaustively? Shouldn’t we majestically bask under the glory of sucking the ambrosial essence and tasting the creamy part of this metamorphosis? It is not just for this reason should we be indebted to our parents but also for the fact that, they never took us to a pediatrician every time we put some weight assuming that we were obese, unlike today’s parents. Shouldn’t we all be extremely glad to have parents who never took us to a psychiatrist or a psychologist or a counselor every time we scored less marks assuming that we were suffering from Dyslexia or any ailment of that kind, like most of the parents today? We'll be no doubt happy to have parents who have never pressed and pushed us to Tuition, Dance class, Theaters, Music, that and this against our wishes! Don't we remember playing cricket and breaking glasses almost every week? Playing hide and seek and falling down from a big monstrous compounds and wound ourselves? the list goes on and on!!!! Shouldn’t we all gleefully thank our parents who took us rarely to restaurants, dressing us with pressed clothes and polished shoes, only on memorable days like Birthdays, Anniversaries Etc., to make us reminisce and cherish the particular occasion for a long time? Unlike today’s parents who visit hotels almost every day with their children, that children tend to forget their own birthdays and other big events to be cherished forever (fortunately, Facebook rescued these children! Even if they forget to celebrate their own B-Day’s, friends will remind them pouring wishes lavishly). Today if we look back we have not missed anything and are definitely productive to the society. Aren't we?

One line found below (referring to Srikala madam) is exclusively dedicated to my dear Oxford High School Friends,
“10 years ago life was simple yet never could we escape from the fear of deadly pimple and as students of Oxford School’s ShreeKala’s Biology, didn't we enjoy her dimple? Then, scoring distinction was the only Gospel and private tuition were the lone and real propel, to accomplish dreams and fill people around us with sweets mouthful”.
Eventually, if you are still trying to figure out the crux here and if you have not understood the sum and substance of aforesaid words, leave it. I feel you have rationalized the whole idea applying too much of your head and hence have not derived any amount of happiness out of this concept! You don’t deserve it either, alas! :-(
Had a pleasant ride down the memory lane..:)
